I. Application Background of the Hot Oil Boiler
This custom-designed 60kW hot oil boiler serves a technology-focused customer in Chengdu, primarily for precision manufacturing or electronic component production. These industries require high-temperature, stable thermal energy for critical processes such as hot pressing, curing, and drying. Since the facility lacks access to centralized heating or steam sources, the electric hot oil boiler provides an independent, stable, and clean heat solution.
II. Scenario Requirements for the Hot Oil Boiler
The hot oil boiler delivers stable high-temperature heat output, reaching oil temperatures up to 280°C with a precision of ±1°C. This accurate control meets the stringent demands of specific production stages.
The equipment must adapt to Chengdu’s local climate and indoor space constraints. Consequently, the design emphasizes a compact footprint, low noise operation, and zero exhaust emissions.
The system supports remote start/stop, over temperature alarm, low liquid level protection, and automatic oil makeup. Moreover, it integrates seamlessly with the plant’s existing control system for unattended operation.
The system uses synthetic thermal fluid and requires minimal daily maintenance. With a heat exchange efficiency of no less than 90%, this hot oil boiler ensures long-term economic performance and operational safety.

III. Application Case Study of the Hot Oil Boiler
This hot oil boiler serves a specific process heating scenario. Together with a 20m² shell-and-tube cooler and an electric three-way diverter valve, the system automatically switches between heating and cooling modes. This design suits processes requiring both temperature ramp-up and controlled cool-down.
(1) Precision Temperature Control with Multiple Safeguards
The unit employs a Xiamen Yudian main temperature controller and a solid-state relay (SSR) with contactless output. As a result, temperature control accuracy reaches ±1°C, and the temperature curve remains smooth and stable.
Multiple interlocks enhance safety, including boiler body overheat protection, oil pump interlock, low pressure protection, and expansion tank low liquid level protection. In any abnormal condition, the system automatically cuts off heating and triggers alarms, effectively preventing dry operation of the hot oil boiler.

(2) Automatic Heating/Cooling Switch for Easy Operation
The electric three-way diverter valve simplifies mode switching. After heating completes, operators only need to turn on the cooling switch. The valve then automatically redirects the thermal fluid through the 20m² shell-and-tube cooler. This design eliminates manual repiping, making it ideal for processes requiring rapid cooling or periodic thermal cycling.
(3) High-Quality Electrical Components for Reliable Performance
All core electrical parts—including the main controller, low-voltage devices, and solid-state relays—come from well-known brands. The system supports both remote and local control modes. Users can remotely start/stop heating and the oil pump. Furthermore, status signals (heating active, pump running) and alarm signals (over temperature, low pressure, low liquid level) can feed back to a DCS for full remote monitoring.

(4) Compact Skid-Mounted Integration
The heater body, oil pump, valves, and filters integrate into a single frame, with the control cabinet mounted directly on the skid. The heating body uses insulation layers of at least 150 mm thick. Consequently, the outer surface temperature stays within ambient +35°C, ensuring high efficiency and safe operation.
